Named by J. Norman Collie and Hugh M. Stutfield in 1898. Noyes, Rev. Charles, Lathrop (Dr. Noyes was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club who made several first ascents in the Canadian Rockies with Norman Collie and Hugh Stutfield.) Official name.
