Named in 1922. Originally named "Hoodoo" after Norman Collie's dog which was in the first ascent party, the mountain is now said to be named after Curly Phillips' dog. Official name. Other names Hoodoo (Norman Collie's dog)

First ascended in 1911 by J. Norman Collie, A.L. Mumm, J. Yates, guided by Moritz Inderbinen.
