Located on the continental divide between southwest Lyell Glacier and Mons Icefield; easternmost peak of Division Mountain. Banff Park, Alberta/BC border. Major headwaters Saskatchewan & Columbia rivers.

Named by Interprovincial Boundary Survey in 1918. The surveyors named this peak because of its location on the eastern end of Division Mountain. Official name.
