Named by Interprovincial Boundary Survey in 1913. The mountain takes its name from nearby Lake Gloria. Official name.

First ascended in 1929 by C. Baldwin, E. Bigelow, F.X. Bigelow, H. Bigelow, H.B. Bigelow, S. Detty, G. Duffy, R. Hallowell, H.Howe, C. Saltonstall, R. Saltonstall, R. Walcott, guided by C. Coyteaux.


Other Information

Mount Gloria, Eon Mountain, Aye Mountain and Mount Assiniboineform a spectacular group at the head of the Marvel Lake Valley. Mount Gloria is the lowest of the four in elevation, some 400 metres lower than its impressive neighbour to the southwest, Eon Mountain.
