Located in the Miette River Valley north of Minaga Creek and 2 km southeast of Elysium Pass. Victoria Cross Range, Jasper Park, Alberta Major headwater Athabasca River.

Named in 1916. The mountain commemorates the over 30,000 miners who travelled from the California goldfields to the Cariboo Mountains during the Cariboo Goldrush (1860-1863). Official name.
