Located in the Athabasca River and the Snaring River Valleys at the head of Cobblestone Creek. Jasper Park, Alberta Major headwater Athabasca River.

Named by Morrison P. Bridgland in 1916. Two rocks on the mountain were thought to resemble a squirrel. Chetamond is the Stoney Indian word for squirrel. Official name.
