Named by Morrison P. Bridgland in 1916. This mountain is located midway between Excelsior and Amber Mountains. Official name.

Centre Peak is the highest point in the Livingstone Range in southern Alberta.

There is another Centre Mountain in the Flathead Valley of British Columbia.
