Makwa Ridge

Named by Morrison P. Bridgland in 1916. The name was to have been the Cree word "muskwa" for bear but the name became the cree word for loon. Official name.

Other Information

This long ridge is divided into two part by the headwaters of Ammonite Creek. The southeastern portion is the highest.
