Named in 1964. Washburn, Flying Officer Dean J. (Twenty-four year old F/O Washburn, of Fernie, BC, was diving and firing at an enemy vehicle when his No. 438 Squadron Typhoon aircraft was hit by flak and he was killed on December 24, 1944. WW II) Official name.
