Cornice Peak

Located west of McDonald Creek, the second peak (from the northwest) of Cloister Mountain. White Goat Park, Alberta Major headwater Saskatchewan River.

Named in 1967. Presumably a cornice of snow was on the summit of this mountain when the name was chosen. Official name.

Other Information

This mountain is the second (from the northwest) of the group of four peaks which makes up Cloister Mountains. They are said to resemble, "four fine cathedrals with splendid walls and buttresses on the south-west."
