Named by: V. Ernest J. May (Chief Map Draughtsman, Topographical Surveys)
Named for: May, Francis and George (Francis May and his brother George were both killed in France during WW I. George Peak and Francis Peak are the two summits of Mount May. They were named in their honour by their Uncle Ernest.
