Named for: Mangin, Charles Emmanuel (A French soldier, General Mangin was a successful commander during WW I and later presided over the Supreme Council for National Defence.)
A distant view of Mount Mangin to the south (left) and Mount Cordonnier (right) may be enjoyed from Hwy. #40, between 1.5 km and 2.5 km south of the junction with the road to Kananaskis Lakes. The peaks are about 20 km distant. From the highway, one is looking up the valley of Foch Creek below Aster Lake.
