Named by Arthur P. Coleman in 1902. Stewart, Louis B. (Louis Stewart, a Professor of Surveying at the University of Toronto, accompanied Arthur Coleman on two of his expeditions to the Rockies in the late 1800's. His father, George Alexander Stewart, became superintendent of Banff Park.) Official name.
