Located on the continental divide east of the Scott Creek headwaters at the head of North Alnus Glacier. on the border of Jasper & Hamber parks, Alberta/BC border. Major headwaters Athabasca & Columbia rivers.

Named in 1913. Scott, Captain Rober Falcon (Captain Scott of the British Navy was commander of two expeditions to the Antarctic. He reached the south pole in 1912 only to find that Roald Amundsen had been the first. Scott and his party of five died on the return march.) Official name.

First ascended in 1928 by W.R. Hainsworth, M.M. StrumiaJournal reference CAJ 17-15; AAJ 1-64.
