Climbing Routes
North Glacier II
It is usual to climb both Mount Unwin and Mount Charlton on the same outing. The described outing is the one taken by Hainsworth and Strumia on the first ascent of Mt. Charlton. Mt. Unwin is climbed via the E ridge. The route is technically straightforward but has "magnificent ambiance". About 12 hours return trip from the lake Dougherty, Selected Alpine Climbs page 290
