Named by Samuel E.S. Allen in 1894. Biddle, Anthony Joseph Drexel (A friend of Samuel Allen's from Philadelphia, Mr. Biddle was said to be an extensive and enthusiastic traveller.) Official name.

First ascended in 1903 by A. Eggers, H.C. Parker, guided by Christian Kaufmann, Hans Kaufmann. Journal reference App 10-298.

Mount Biddle forms the backdrop to Lake McArthur, a large and incredibly blue lake in the Lake O'Hara area.

West Ridge (Normal Route) II 5.4
A pleasant scramble to the top of one of the more impressive looking peaks at Lake O'Hara. Not the original route on the mountain but it is certainly better than the original SW Face route and is the advised "Normal Route". Dougherty, Selected Alpine Climbs page 142
