Named by J. Norman Collie in 1910. Gunn, Elizabeth Ann "Bessie" (A resident of Lac Ste. Anne, Alberta, Bessie Gunn married M.C. McKeen, an Alberta MLA. She was a member of the packtrain led by John Yates which was hired by Norman Collie.) Official name.
