Named by Interprovincial Boundary Survey in 1913. Aye (The Aye family may have provided assistance to the Interprovincial Boundary Survey OR "Aye" which is a Scot expression meaning "always," or "at any time.") Official name.

First ascended in 1934 by H.S. Crosby, guided by Rudolph Aemmer. Journal reference AAJ 2-331.

Mount Gloria, Eon Mountain, Mount Assiniboine, and Aye Mountain form a spectacular group at the head of the Marvel Lake Valley. Eon Mountain and Aye Mountain are the second and third highest of the four, a sizeable glacier lying in a basin below their northern slopes. Eon Mountain features a sharp, pointed summit.
