WOLVERINE PASS

The summits of Wolverine and Rockwall Passes are just a few hundred metres apart and are very close to being the same elevation. Wolverine Pass is on the Kootenay Park boundary whereas Rockwall Pass separates the headwaters of the Helmet Creek Valley from those of the Tumbling Creek Valley.

Mount Drysdale and Mount Gray, the peaks on either side of the pass, were named in 1917 after two members of a geological surveying party who drowned in the Kootenay River.
